How to redact a PDF (and why most redactions fail)

  1. Select your PDF — it's processed on your device only — fitting, since redaction usually means the document is sensitive.
  2. Drag boxes over sensitive content — names, numbers, addresses — as many boxes on as many pages as you need. Hover a box to remove it.
  3. Download the redacted PDF — pages you marked are re-saved as flat images with the boxes burned in; untouched pages keep their selectable text.
